Did Pippa Middleton wear the shoes of the summer on her honeymoon?

After a high profile wedding, Pippa Middleton and her husband, James Matthews jetted off to Tahiti, according to the Daily Mail. And all eyes are still on Pippa's dress and shoe choices.

In the next stop, Sydney, she was spotted in espadrille wedges. Espadrilles a popular summer choice, have been called the shoe of summer 2017.

Pippa's pair is the Castaner wedge lace-up espadrilles, according to the Daily Mail. They retail for $175 and are currently sold out.

Other celebrities have also been spotted in espadrilles this summer, including Jennifer Aniston, according to PopSugar.

Also, on her honeymoon, Pippa has been spotted in black L.K. Bennett sandals, according to the Daily Mail. L.K. Bennett is also a favorite of sister Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.

Those sandals are still available for just over $90.

Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton may have gotten all the attention for keeping the bridal party filled with children, a common occurrence at British royal weddings, quiet, but I could not help but wonder what shoes she would wear.

True to British royal tradition, Middleton did not want to upstage sister, Pippa and went with very classic pumps.

According to Footwear News, Middleton wore Gianvito Rossi 105 suede pumps, which retail for $675.

The shoes are a very classic choice, although she gets credit for working with children in 4 inch pumps.

Pippa Middleton walked down the isle in a beautiful high-neck lace gown by Giles Deacon, but I could't help but wonder, what shoes were under the beautiful dress.

Middleton, the sister of Duchess of Cambridge, Kate, married James Matthews, a finance exec and former race car driver, in the English countryside. The reception was at her parent's house.

But what shoes did she wear?

According to the Telegraph, Middleton wore white satin Manolo Blahnik shoes with pearl details. They say they were a customized version of the Seneca Bridal shoes, which retail for $925.

Royal Wedding: Pippa Middleton’s Shoe Choices

After the Royal Wedding, Pippa Middleton has caught the world’s attention, especially after stepping out in a stunning cowl neck Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress at Kate’s wedding. The unmarried Pippa is becoming a style icon like her sister and her shoe choices complement her sense of fashion.

At the Royal Wedding ceremony, Pippa wore white pumps under her dress, although the exact designer and style is unknown. You can catch a glimpse in the below picture. The Official Royal Wedding site does not specify who made her shoes. It says that the bridesmaid’s shoes were made by Rainbow Club, a shoe company based in Devon. It describes them as “classic Mary Jane style shoes are made from satin and finished with a Swarovski crystal buckle.” The pictures suggest Pippa did not wear these same shoes, just like her dress was different than those of the young attendants.

The Other Royal Wedding Shoes: Princess Diana, Queen Victoria, and Queen Elizabeth.

Princess Diana

Princess Diana wore embellished white slippers on her wedding day. They were made by Clive Shilton of embroidered ivory silk and detailed with mother of pearl sequins. There were heart shapes at the front and the soles were made of hand-tooled leather (mspmint, 2010). The heels were low so Diana at 5’ 10” wouldn’t be taller than Prince Charles (I Do Weddings, 2011). The heels were trimmed in 24 carat gold (Diana, Princess of Wales, 2010). A spare pare was made in case of an emergency (mspmint).

All eyes were first on Kate Middleton as she wed her prince, but with a crowd of the famous and fashionable in attendance one couldn’t help but glance at their outfits.

Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girl, Posh,  showed up in navy from hat to shoes. Her outfit has been no stranger to controversy.

Liz Jones of the Daily Mail said, “The effect was more suitable for a funeral than a wedding.”

Today, all eyes were on Kate Middleton as she fulfilled every little girl’s fantasy of marrying a prince. Today was also the big wedding dress reveal. Kate made a stunning choice of classic white dress with lace by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. The dress is classic and timeless.

You may not have seem them under her long train, but I couldn’t help but wonder what shoes she wore.  The shoes were handmade at Alexander McQueen of ivory satin and hand-embroidered at Royal School of Needlework, according to the Royal Wedding website. I have had trouble finding pictures, but a very helpful reader sent in the below picture from an Australian magazine. Would you get married in the shoe aisle of T.J. Maxx?

This weekend, all the attention has been on the wedding of Chelsea Clinton. However, I think some of the attention should have been given to the wedding of Lisa Satayut and Drew Ellis. While you probably have not heard of them, their wedding took place in a pretty amazing place, the shoe aisle of their local T.J. Maxx in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Click here for pictures.

Lisa Ellis had always dreamed of getting married in the size 8 shoe aisle at T.J. Maxx. The store helped make her dream come true by widening the aisle, adding a vine covered arch and seats for her guests. Musicians performed before and after the ceremony.

Despite being surrounded by shoes and wearing a pretty interesting pair of green gladiators, the bride says she didn’t look at the shoes on her walk down the aisle.
